Compliance Consultant

Job Description
TillieStar compliance is currently looking for Compliance Consultants. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry or Fintech industry, preferably in compliance, working on financial software such as Charles River Development, Bloomberg, SimCorp, Linedata, LatentZero, Aladdin, MIG-21, and/or similar proprietary systems. Consultants provide consulting services for clients consistent with a business analyst but providing expertise in compliance.

General Job Responsibilities

  • Project participation (meetings, sprints, status reporting, etc)
  • Assessing current state workflows and documenting compliance business requirements
  • Designing and/or configuring future state workflows in the targeted operating model
  • Inventorying, documenting, and assessing compliance requirements from either source documents or legacy systems
  • Coding, testing, and deploying new compliance rules using industry best practices
  • Creating and executing test cases
  • Managing project phases like integration testing, end-to-end testing, UAT, parallel and Go Live
  • Creating and providing end-user training on target operating model

Desired Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field. Industry certification or advanced degree a plus
  • 2-5 years of investment management (buy-side related) experience, preferably as a compliance or business analyst
  • Experience in investment compliance. Familiarity with compliance workflows such as batch and pre-trade compliance, client on-boarding, rule library maintenance, etc.
  • Experience with regulatory or contractual documentation is helpful such as 1940 Act, Canadian NI 81-102, UCITS, Institutional IMAs, etc
  • Experience working with at least one trade order management system (Latent Zero, Blackrock, SimCorp, Charles River, Bloomberg AIM, etc.) with a strong understanding of the data being fed into these systems
  • Experience with Mutual fund accounting or transfer agencies a plus
  • Strong project management and business analysis skills
  • Strong knowledge of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and the trade order life cycle
  • Solid written and oral communications skills
  • Knowledge of relational databases and how to query SQL in Oracle and MS SQL Server

Location: Boston, MA

May require travel to client locations up to 70%

TillieStar compliance is currently looking for Associate Compliance Consultants.  The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in compliance, working on financial software such as Charles River Development, Bloomberg, Linedata, LatentZero, Aladdin, MIG-21, and/or similar proprietary systems. Consultants provide consulting services for clients consistent with a business analyst but providing expertise in compliance.

Specific Responsibilities:
